We (FunnGo) are highly concerned about your privacy and we take this concern very seriously. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) lists on the collection, process, use and disclosure of user data when you use our mobile application ‘FunnGo’ (“App”). The App is referred to as the “Platform”. References to “we”, “our” or “us” or the “Company” shall mean the Platform and/or RoyalMobi Media Pvt Ltd. Any kind of references to “you”, “your” or “user” shall mean any person or entity using our Platform. Sharing or use of your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy will not be entertained from our end.
By using this platform you give your consent to the Terms and Conditions of this privacy policy. The users also give us the consent to use the data (Personal information) as per the below described protocol. If the users do not agree to this, kindly do not use this platform.
By using or visiting the “FunnGo” app, website or any “FunnGo” products, software, data feeds, and services provided to the users on, from, or through the “FunnGo” website (collectively the "Service") the users signify agreement to (1) these terms and conditions (the "Terms of Service"). If users do not agree to any of these terms, the Privacy Policy, or the Community Guidelines, please do not use the Service. The Service is provided by “FunnGo”, which, along with its products and services, is referred to as “FunnGo” in these Terms of Service.
I. Log-in credentials: User ID, mobile phone number, email ID, gender (optional), and IP address. We may also collect an indicative age range which confirms that the users are of the appropriate age to access our Platform and certain features of our Platform (collectively “Log-in Credentials”) Content Shared by users: This constitutes the information made available to other users via the Platform, such as: voluntarily shared by the user about himself/herself on the Platform, including but not limited to quotes, images, political opinions, religious views, profile photo etc.
To induce log-in to a user account
(a) To notify user about changes to the Platform, including this Privacy Policy;
(b) To aid communication, including provision of user support;
(c) To accomplish our terms, conditions, and policies and any of our rights, or the rights of or other users of the Platform;
(d) To evolve with new services and to conduct constant ongoing improvements in the existing services and the Platform and integrate user feedback and requests;
a) To provide language and location based personalization;
b) To regulate the Platform and for internal assessments, including but not limited to troubleshooting, data analysis, testing purposes, research, security, fraud-detection, account management, and survey purposes;
c) To gather an understanding of how you users use and access the Platform and to improve the user experience on the Platform;
d) Information received from other sources: We also work closely with third parties (like business partners, sub-contractors in technical, analytics providers, search information providers) and might receive information about our platform users from such sources. Such data might be restored and circulated internally and combined with the data collected on this Platform.
e) To pseudonymise and accumulate user information, including Personal Information, for conducting user demographic analysis on parameters such as region, device model, operating system platform, system language, and the Platform version
f) To pseudonymise and accumulate user information, including Personal Information, for collection of web and account traffic statistics of the content and services that are used when users access third-party services on the Platform;
g) To assess the functionality of the platform and to enhance advertising and other marketing and promotional activities.
II. Log Data: "Log Data" is the information that gets automatically collected when the users use the Platform, either by means of cookies, web beacons, log files, scripts, including, but not limited to:
a) Technical information, such as mobile carrier-related information,
b) Configuration information made available by your web browser or other programs you use to access the Platform
c) IP address and device’s version and identification number;
d) Search history information and viewed content while using the Platform, such as web search terms used, social media profiles visited, mini applications used, and details of any other information and content accessed or requested by you while using the Platform;
e) General information about the discussions on the platform, such as the communications within the users ,date, time, time-duration of such discussions ,profiles participating in such discussions
f) Metadata (information related to items you have made available through the Platform) for example the date, time or location pertaining to a shared post.
III. Cookies: Our Platform uses cookies to distinguish the users of our Platform for an improved user experience when users browse our Platform thus enabling us to improve the Platform. For further detailed information on the cookies we use and the purposes for which we use them, please refer to our cookie policy.
IV. Surveys: We might ask you to participate in user feedback surveys on a time to time basis. If our users choose to participate in such surveys, we may request them to provide certain Personal Information i.e. any information that could be used to identify the users (“Personal Information”). We may use a third-party service provider to conduct these surveys and this will be notified to you prior to the completion of the survey.
V. User Search Data: Any searches that are conducted by the users on the Platform-To facilitate quick access to previous searches and to use such analytics for a personalized experience and to display targeted advertisements and other marketing and promotional activities.
VI. Increased Account Security: We collect user’s phone number and request access to the messages by sending a One-Time-Password (“OTP”), upon confirmation by the user ( by entering the OTP to verify user identity, while registering with our Platform)
Thus verifying user identity and maintaining user account security. This request is placed to have access to your SMS folder to automatically read the OTP generated.
VII. Contacts List: Our platform would require user consent before accessing user’s contacts list and the user has got the option to deny the access to his/her contacts list. This would facilitate suggestions and invitation to friends and other contacts of the users to join the platform and the user would get notified y when any individual joins the platform.
VIII. Geographic Location Information: Location wise information is derived from the GPS, IP address, and/or public posts containing location information. When users disclose certain location information to the Platform and to other Platform users as they access the Platform, the Platform derives location information from the IP address, device, or internet service for providing the Services or improving the platform such as to ensure that there are no multiple log-ins to user’s account.
IX. For purpose of security, fraud-detection and account management;
a) Aims at enhanced content targeting;
b) To provide users with location-based services
c) To provide language and location customization to the users
X. Information from customer support: Information that is provided to our customer support team regarding during any assistance or support required for the smooth functioning of the Platform from time to time.
XI. Device Data: “Device Data” includes but not limited to the following:
a) Device attributes: Operating system, operating system version and language, hardware and software versions, device company and model, screen resolution, battery level, signal strength, device RAM, device bitrate, available storage space, information pertaining to the device CPU, browser type, app and file names and types, and plugins.
b) Device operations: Information about operations and behaviors performed on the device, such as whether a window is foregrounded or backgrounded.
c) Identifiers: Unique identifiers, device IDs, ad IDs, and other identifiers, such as from games, apps or accounts you use.
d) Device signals: We may collect your Bluetooth signals, and information about nearby Wi-Fi access points, beacons, and cell towers.
e) Data from device settings: information you allow us to receive through device settings you turn on, such as access to your GPS location, camera or photos.
f) Network and connections: Information such as the name of your mobile operator or ISP, network type and speed, data consumption, language, time zone, mobile phone number, IP address and connection speed.
g) Application and application version: Any mobile applications that are stored on your mobile device.
h) Media: We access the media gallery on your mobile device, including without limitation, images, videos and audio files and the storage space on your phone. However, we shall always obtain your consent before accessing your images and you shall have the option to deny us such access.
Content
Public Content: Any content posted by the user on his/her profile or on another user’s profile is accessible to everyone, including search engines. Any information which is voluntarily disclosed for posting to the Platform, including user’s profile page information, is accessible to anyone. When users submit, post or share the chosen to make public on the Platform, it may be re-shared by others. Users should be mindful of who they share it with, since it may be reshared by public out of the Platform
FunnGo also enables the users to use our Platform to create and share content about them with the audience of their choice. FunnGo reserves the right to share all public content on any social media site or any other online or offline platform.
What users share with others
It is completely the user’s discretion with whom they want to share /are sharing the content /communicating with the aid of FunnGo. The audience to whom users want to share with is also entirely their choice and FunnGo neither controls nor is nor liable for the mechanism or the aftereffects of such sharing on the social media or through applications like whatsapp etc.
Sharing with Third Parties
Advertisers and advertising networks: Though FunnGo would never disclose information that would identify individuals to its advertisers and networks, but an aggregate of information about the demographics of the users may be given to them to better understand their target audience.
In addition to the above, please note that we may share your information with appropriate law enforcement authorities if we have good-faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to share your personal data or information in order to comply with any legal obligation or any government request; or to protect the rights or prevent any harm to our property or safety, our customers, or public; or to detect, prevent or otherwise address public safety, fraud, security or technical issues. You understand however, that we cannot be held responsible for any actions done by or to you by a third party or user by way of using our Platform.
FunnGo may also disclose user information (including Personal Information) to select third parties in the following circumstances:
In the case of acquiring of company assets by a third party,in the event of merger and acquistions, bankruptcy, reorganization or sale of assets, the users will be notified well in advance in case if they want to opt out of entering into new privacy policy and as per the user’s wish, they may delete their account.
Funngo or its team members, would never ask you to share your login credentials with anybody. To keep the confidentiality of login credentials intact is the sole responsibility of the users.
We have in place appropriate technical and security measures to secure the information collected by us.
The Company may periodically update this Privacy Policy. Whenever we make any changes to this Privacy Policy that are important for you to know about, we will post the updated Privacy Policy here.
The transmission of information via the internet may not always be completely secure. FunnGo ensures its best to protect user’s Personal Information, it cannot guarantee the security of the data transmitted to the Platform; any such transmission is at user’s own risk. We use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorized access to the extent possible.
You are free to remove or delete content from your user account/profile and your account/ profile at any point in time. However, the history of your activities and account on our Platform remains available to us.
You may correct, amend, add or delete Personal Information from your account at any time by logging in and visiting your profile page. As noted above, you may opt out from unwanted e-mail communications from us by following the instructions in the message. However, until your account is deleted you will continue to receive all system e-mails.
FunnGo will not retain user Sensitive Personal Information (defined below in this paragraph) for longer than required for the purposes wherein it will be lawfully used. Though we entertain your request for deletion, however, there are chances that copies of any public content will be retained indefinitely in our systems, including in cached and archived pages of the Platform, or if other users have copied or saved that information. In addition, due to the nature of the internet, copies of your content, including content that you have removed or deleted from your account, may also exist elsewhere on the Internet and be retained indefinitely. “Sensitive Personal Information” shall mean passwords and any other information that is classified as sensitive under Rule 3 of the Rules.
FunnGo may time and again, contain links in and out of the websites of our partner networks, advertisers, Affiliates and/or any other websites or mobile applications. If users follow a link to any of these websites they have to be vigilant about the self-safety as these have their own privacy policy and FunnGo may not be responsible for any breaches due to the same. Users should check these policies before submitting any personal data to these websites or mobile applications and shall be self-responsible for any damages whatsoever.
FunnGo being a short-video app, it has music license agreements with various music labels to ensure optimal user experience on the Platform. Information regarding music data might be shared with such music labels from time to time in an anonymized manner.
We use Giphy gifs in chat feature. This will be considered as a third party embed in the platform. These files send data to the hosted site just as if you were visiting that site directly.
The Platform does not control what data third parties collect or what they will do with it. So, third-party embeds on the Platform are not covered by this Privacy Policy. They are covered by the privacy policy of the third-party service.
Some embeds may ask users for their Personal Information, such as email address, through a form. We do our best to such factors off the Platform. As explained above, their actions are not covered by this Privacy Policy. So, please be careful when you see embedded forms on the Platform asking for your email address or any other Personal Information. The responsibility of sharing personal information with this third party embeds and their end use depends entirely on the user’s discretion and FunnGo may not be held responsible for any data breaches.
If you embed a form that allows submission of Personal Information by users, you must provide a prominent link to an applicable Privacy Policy next to the embedded form that clearly states how you intend to use any information collected. Failure to do so may lead the Company to disable the post or take other action to limit or disable your account.
“FunnGo” from time to time would send service-related announcements when deemed necessary (such as when we temporarily suspend the Platform for maintenance, or security, privacy, or administrative-related communications). This will be notified via SMS. Users may not opt-out of these notifications, which are non-promotional and aim solely to protect user’s account and keep them informed of important changes to the Platform.
